The new Groove Duet™ acoustic panels range is an excellent example of this, with an elegant fusion of router-cut geometric and organic designs enticing the eye and a two-tone colour palette that can complement any interior scheme.
The concept is based on the existing Groove™ Panels range, which is familiar to designers for the sculptural quality of the precision-cut panels, which manipulate light and shadow to transform walls, ceilings and other surfaces into dynamic, eye-catching features.
Groove Duet takes this to the next level, by embedding visual colour contrast in the form of dual colour options, combined with 12 different variations of router-cut patterning ranging from organic swoops and curves to motifs of bamboo grove, brickwork or diamond mesh.
The base of Groove Duet is Autex Acoustics’ core product, Cube™ with a choice of 22 colours, combined with a top layer of Vertiface® available in 34 colours. This diversity of hues across the spectrum – from bold brights and cool atmospherics to warm earth tones and sophisticated darks – makes it possible for designers to mix and match the two-tone colours and the cut pattern which reveals the base colour to suit almost any aesthetic.
There are also two thickness options, with either 12mm or 24mm Cube panels for the base layer, and the cut designs can be customised to suit unique projects and contexts.
The Vertiface colourways are also available in either smooth or velour surface specifications, creating opportunities to select for tactile softness, pinnable surfaces or velcro-receptive surfaces. This further expands the opportunities to create interactive wall areas in settings like classrooms, office workshop zones or libraries.
Autex also ensure their acoustic panels demonstrate best environmental practice. Made in Australia from 100% PET comprising a minimum of 80% recycled content, the lightweight, durable panels are also free from formaldehyde and harmful chemicals. This ensures that the materials do not contribute any Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOCs) to the indoor environment, protecting human health and indoor air quality.
The products are certified Carbon Neutral and carry Global Green Tag certification, making them suitable for interior projects targeting ratings including Green Star and WELL. They are also quick and simple to install, with no major preparation works required.
