The A-frame has always been an honest form. Its steep pitch, its triangular silhouette cutting against the sky. There’s nothing decorative about it. Every angle serves a purpose. Polish studio Mini Domy understood this when they built the Brda, their full-sized A-frame cabin rooted in a design tradition that has held its ground since the 1970s. The Mini Brda Classic is their smaller, bolder statement: an A-frame distilled to its absolute minimum, mounted on wheels, and sent out into the world at just 4.8 meters long.
At 14 square meters (150 sq ft), this is not a home trying to convince you it’s bigger than it is. It’s a single room. No partitions, no loft, no illusion of sprawling space. The large front-facing window anchors the design, pulling light into the interior and framing whatever landscape the trailer parks beside. Mountains, a lake edge, a clearing in the woods. The view becomes the fourth wall. There’s something refreshingly unambiguous about that. In a market flooded with tiny homes straining to look bigger than they are, the Mini Brda Classic is comfortable with exactly what it is.

Mini Domy positions the Mini Brda Classic as the stripped-back sibling of the Brda. Where the original spans 35 square meters and fits in two bedrooms, a kitchen with an induction cooktop, and a full bathroom, the Classic operates on an entirely different logic. This is a space designed for whoever needs very little, or whoever has learned to want less. It can be outfitted with a bed and kitchenette, but beyond that, it asks nothing of you and offers exactly what it promises.
The dual-axle trailer setup means the Classic moves. It isn’t tied to one landscape, one plot, one season. For a weekend retreat that follows you, or a permanent fixture on a foundation, Mini Domy designed both possibilities into the structure from the start. The traditional A-frame roofline isn’t nostalgic window dressing. It’s functional geometry, built to shed snow and carve out vertical space without demanding more footprint than a generous parking space. That the name draws from a classic Polish A-frame lineage only adds to the sense that this form has always known what it’s doing.
What Mini Domy has done with the Mini Brda Classic is resist the impulse to add. Tiny home design too often mistakes complexity for ambition, cramming in features that perform lifestyle rather than support it. The Classic takes the opposite position. Its restraint is its design language. The form is unmistakable, the footprint is almost aggressively small, and the intent is clear. This is a shelter for people who understand that a great view, four walls, and a roof shaped like a mountain might be everything they actually need.
