when we finally feel raindrops here in los angeles i know it’s safe to call ‘fall’! it’s such a welcome change from the 100+ degree weather we had last week and i’m happily getting out my sweaters, socks and boots. along with cooler weather, i feel compelled to warm up my decor — pulling out the throws and changing up cushion covers — instead of cotton prints i’m using velvety, soft textures in mustard yellow and warm-hued pinks and plums. yummy! wood floors feel somehow warmer in cool months and wood furniture feels cozy, too. a farmhouse table just begs for company and the idea of sharing a bowl of homemade soup and a crusty loaf of bread becomes an obsession. and, it’s nice to have rugs underfoot, but somehow i prefer to slide around my bare wood floors in slippers and let the wood shine! here’s some warm wood looks i love.
