i’m one of those people who love a good neighborhood bistro and bar. somewhere i can even go by myself for a quick dinner and a glass of wine without feeling like i’m standing out like a sore thumb, if you know what i mean. and hotel delmano feels exactly like that kind of place, a beautifully crafted space in williamsburg, brooklyn — and like cheers, a place where everybody might get to know your name. it’s not a hotel at all, but more like a cozy speakeasy for a good cocktail, and the perfect spot for oysters, since hotel delmano specializes in a raw bar with seasonal oysters from both coasts and shrimp, clams, caviar, and crab. i’m in!

since it’s super casual, we’re headed out the door dressed to fit right in — faded skinny jeans, comfy chelsea boots, tee with a cashmere pullover sweater, and my favorite slouchy coat. pair with some layered necklaces and a paisley bandana, felt hat, and reading glasses. but instead of reading at the bar, let’s get social and bring along a portable backgammon set. could be fun, right?
