
we’re already bouncing back to new york city for this week’s but i couldn’t resist since fondue is such a convivial way to gather, and i think we’re all about ready for some of that. so we’re dining at in the west village, a very cozy spot founded by three Swiss partners from the Lavaux, located in the heart of Switzerland’s French-speaking region. This creative team is devoted to sharing their love of Switzerland’s culinary and wine traditions with New Yorkers and so fondue is the thing to order here. fancy dining in a vintage gondola? they’ve got that covered too. i love fondue and find it challenging to make, so this spot is at the top of my list next time i’m in nyc. we’re going to get our best swiss miss on, but in an understated way that i hope will get us in the spirit of our meal. a feminine , worn with a fun menswear-inspired and , worn with our favorite pair of well-worn-in . add to that some very cute red worn with fun , a , and a few fun . while waiting on your brunch crew to arrive i suggest turning a few pages of the by Andre Dubus III. one of my all-time favorite books about the crossover of three lives: a recent immigrant from the middle east who yearns to restore his family’s dignity in california; a recovering alcoholic and addict down on her luck struggles to hold onto the one thing she has left — her home and her lover, a married cop, who is driven to extremes to win her love. the combustion of their lives makes for a very suspenseful and intriguing read.
